The Myton Hospices has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) Health & Wellbeing Awards!
This is the UK’s premier awards scheme for promoting health and wellbeing.
Being named a finalist is a testament to Myton’s employee and volunteer team’s commitment to its staff and volunteers.
The recognition in the Health & Wellbeing in Workplaces category stems from the comprehensive and tailored wellbeing programme that has been developed to support its team members and volunteers across its sites within Coventry and Warwickshire, including the 25 shops.
One of the standout features of its approach is the Employee Wellness Pulse Survey, conducted every 2-3 months. This survey allows Myton to gather real-time feedback from its workforce, ensuring that its wellbeing initiatives are aligned with their most pressing needs. Based on this feedback, Myton launched several targeted projects.
The survey highlighted the need for greater menopause support. In response, Myton introduced menopause café style support groups for staff and volunteers to share stories, obtain resources and access additional Myton support.
Myton have since developed a detailed menopause toolkit alongside a variety of resources in collaboration with The University of Surrey and The Menopause Support Charity, as well as specialised training for managers. These efforts ensure that the team members have the resources and support they need during this important life stage.
“We are incredibly proud to be recognised for our efforts in supporting the wellbeing of our staff and volunteers. Being a finalist for the RSPH Health & Wellbeing Awards is an honour that underscores our ongoing commitment to creating a supportive and resilient workforce.” – The Myton Hospices
